This was one of the best belts around. It could be used with ammo pouches to hold any ammo for the U.S.
infantryman. They were mostly issued to NCO's and officers just like Musette bags. But the regular Dog
Face did steal them. Ok, let's get to the belt. The belt was made to fit 44 inches. Repos from Bayonet
inc. can fit up to much larger. There was a snap on the left side for the M1918 or the M1923 .45 pouch.
There were three holes. The top hole was used for attaching to the pack or suspenders, The middle hole
for adjusting the belt and the bottom holes for attaching anything with wire hangers.
The belt
was mainley used for armored personel with .45s, Soldiers with Tommy guns or Carbines. They can be found
from $2-$30. If you are using a M1 Garand You probobly don't need this. Some soldiers had a belt with
a holster, a canteen, a first aid pouch, a .45 ammo pouch and carried Garand en bloc clips in a bandoleer.
