This shovel was introduced in 1943 and was tested on D-day. It had a folding spade where the blade can
be positioned at a 90 degree angle or a straight shovel. In 1944, They replaced the T Handle Shovel.
They were in use until mid Viet Nam. They can be found for 10 to 30 dollars with the cover. If you look
around, you may even get one for a buck!
Make sure you do not buy a Viet Nam one. In the sixties
they slapped on a pick at the end for hard dirt. Remember, if it has no pick and a khaki cover or a light
OD one, get it unless you want the T Handle shovel.
