These were worn if you did not have your pack on. If you only had a pistol belt with a first aid pouch
and a .45 holster plus a pistol ammo pouch you probably don't need a pair. Depending on your unit, I
don't know if you need a pair for the garand belt. CHECK!!! They were used to hold up the musette bag
and the BAR belt. It had two metal loops that could hold two grenades or the straps of the musette bag.
There were six buckles. 4 in the front and 2 in the back.
These can be found for 25-40 dollars.
You want a good condition one or a repo because it should be strong enough to hold the massive weight
of th BAR belt. I recomend that you use reproductions because they are made to last and are in the same
condition as they were in the war!!!
