This shovel was used from 1910 to 1944. After D-day they started to disappear. The nickname for this
entrenching tool was the T-handle shovel or the T-shovel. These shovels are very expensive. Usually 40
dollars or higher. Bayonet Inc. sells T handle shovels. They come with a cover. There was a high hanger
and a low hanger. The high hanger was for attaching the shovel to your pack and the low hanger was for
hanging the cover off of your BAR belt or your cartridge belt. Any hanger will fit on any size! So pick
the kind YOU prefer. There was also a shortened length for the paratroopers and a long one for the infantry.
